Scaffolding and Pigeons

The pigeons at the Garrison Church represent a major blight, they roost on the ridges around the Apse and Chancel and produce a prodigious amount of poo. We have decided to deprive them of their roosting perches along the two ridges. Scaffolding will be required to erect a platform from which Steve (our ever enthusiastic volunteer) will be able to fix an invisible diagonal piece of material to prevent the pigeons from roosting. The works will take about a week towards the end of October, the purpose of this will be purely to prevent the pigeon poo problem.
