Mayor’s Gala Dinner at the Town Hall

The Mayor is hosting a fundraising dinner in support of the Commonwealth & Gurkha Garden, Saturday 10th May at the Town Hall

The Woolwich Garrison Church Trust is delighted that the Mayor, Cllr Jit Ranabhat is hosting a fundraising dinner at the Town Hall in support of one of his charitable trusts, the Commonwealth & Gurkha Garden at St George's Garrison Church.

The event will be held at the Town on Saturday 10th May, drinks and canape reception fro 6.00pm, 3-course Nepalese dinner from 7.00pm.

There will be musical entertainment throughout the evening, including a Black Watch bagpiper and RAF cadets drumming performance.

St George's Garrison Church in Woolwich, with its modern canopy roof and stunning mosaics, is both an evocative ruin and a contemporary space. Designed by Thomas H Wyatt in an Italian-Romanesque style, the Church was built between 1862-63 to serve the Royal Artillery in Woolwich.
