Armed Forces Day - 29th June 2024

Armed Forces Day is returning to Woolwich. Keep the date clear

Armed Forces Day is returning to Barrack Field ( directly opposite Woolwich Barracks) on Saturday 29th June. The event is supported by the Military, the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the Woolwich Garrison Church Trust. This will be the largest Armed Forces Day celebration in London.

The events will run from 10am to 10pm, and entry will be free. There will be something for everyone; The King’s Troop performing a Ride Past, a lot of military hardware for families to clamber over and into, cadets from various youth organisations as well as fire engines and ambulances, bands and theatre groups. We have made contact with a classic car group to see if they could lay on a procession. The Chelsea Pensioners will be joining us and we are hoping that there will be a parachute drop into the arena.

Full details of all the events will be provided. Watch this space. But for the time being just keep the date for a fantastic day out and an opportunity of celebrating the historical and continuing Military links with Woolwich and the wider Borough.
