St George’s Garrison Church Festival - Thursday 20th August

On Thursday 20th August we bring you more fantastic free music performances from local legends!

Doors open at 11am for free arts and crafts for children, we welcome Laurence O n' the Blistered Mirrors at 2.30pm, and have an evening performance from The Jolly Good Timers, for a jolly good time!

Laurence O 'n The Blistered Mirrors is a 7-piece band which has been loosely described as Alternative Country Rock. Their set of original songs are penned by their founder Laurence O and brought to life by top class musicianship. The Blistered Mirrors was initially a ‘concept’ band called ‘Rock and Soul’. In 1990, the band began to have a full-time album, the eponymous ‘Laurence O ‘n The Blistered Mirrors’. From this was now emerged a permanent line up together, here in the process of recording the 2nd follow up album due for release this spring, and they are now tight, stage honed and ready for any live shows, having performed a series of live gig, festivals, and showcases throughout 2024 & 2025.
2 successful singles, Whispering Rose and Like An Autumn Dream ex-tended their appeal and recognition far and wide, due to much radio play and great reviews. Though based in South East London, their reputation has taken off both nationally and internationally. https://laurenceomusic.co.uk/
